ABOUT THIS FAIR: |
Antiques in Tents returns from 12 – 13 May 2023 to the glorious surroundings of Burton Court in Herefordshire. Organised by dealer Julie Brisbane and partner Andrew Leavis since 2009, this fair celebrates country furniture and country house style in its truest form with Welsh oak, folk art, rare textiles, early pottery and glass, squashy armchairs covered in early textiles, farmhouse pine furniture, antiques for the garden and conservatory and an abundant selection of decorative accessories waiting to be snapped up by a loyal queue of visitors each day. This friendly and intentionally low key event has attracted big names in the decorative trade to both exhibit and and visit. The fair has also caught the attention of US trade buyers who regularly come to buy, so clearly attempting to keep things low key has not worked! Around 60 odd exhibitors return twice a year, May and October, to stand in the eponymous marquee, and a lively atmosphere pervades with a happy dealer tea and drinks events each day. It is an affordable and enjoyable event at which to exhibit, where everyone gets on and enjoys the combination of work and play over a weekend in a beautiful location. Julie Brisbane told ANF: "Dealers from across the UK come here to Herefordshire, near to the Welsh border, and never disappoint on quality and diversity of stock. The atmosphere is friendly with an academic flavour. The trade know this is a fair to find fresh and unseen stock." Great food, bar and a friendly welcome to all visitors (including dogs)! Future dates are 13-14 October 2023. |
