In an exciting post pandemic collaboration, Hansons Auctioneers and Tree of Ages Antiques have joined forced to deliver a new antiques fair partnership.

Tree of Ages has become Hansons’ official representatives at antique fairs across the South and South East of England.

The Surrey-based business will be offering appraisals of items to both the trade and public, and the opportunity to consign lots into Hansons’ auctions. The collaboration will also see Hansons’ valuers, including the firm’s owner Charles Hanson, supporting antiques fairs which will be hosted by Tree of Ages across the UK.

Charles Hanson, a familiar face on TV shows such as Bargain Hunt, said: “I am delighted to be working with Dave and the team at Tree of Ages. There is great synergy between the two companies.

In this ever-changing world, and at a time of concern for our environment, we want people to understand the value of antiques and the sustainability the industry has as a whole. By working with Tree of Ages we hope to spread that message to customers across the board.

We plan to host even more high-quality events to bring antiques to the masses. We have a new fair in the pipeline which we plan to launch in 2023 at a new venue.

These events will be marketed as Hansons Auctioneers’ antiques fairs organised by Tree of Ages. Charles and his team will be on hand to advise member of the public and assess their antiques, collectibles and family heirlooms. Charles will be at the Tree of Ages Antiques Fair at Stanhill Court Hotel, RH60EP on Sunday 19 th February 2023 to offer advice and valuations in the first event of this kind.

Hansons, which was launched in 2005, has salerooms in London, Oxfordshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire, the latter being its headquarters. It offers multiple Fine Art, antiques and specialist sales throughout the year. Its Staffordshire saleroom, Bishton Hall at Wolseley Bridge, is a Georgian mansion and popular events venue. Hansons will also be opening a new auction venue offering
valuations to the public and holding quarterly auctions at the prestigious The Pantiles Arcade in Royal Tunbridge Wells from February 2023. More details will be made available in due course.
