ABOUT THIS FAIR: |
Tribal Art London throws open the doors to its first live event post-Covid with the 15th edition of the fair from 15-18 September 2022 (Private Preview 14 September). The UK’s only premier event in the field of ethnographic culture and tribal art takes place at the Mall Galleries in London SW1. TAL brings together more than 20 exhibitors, internationally-reputable specialists in fine and original tribal works of art drawn from all corners of the globe; Oceania, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, creating an epicentre of world culture just a stone’s throw from St James’s Park. |

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR: |
An important focal point for private collectors, interior designers and institutions looking for extraordinary cultural objects, Tribal Art London offers an exciting diversity of authentic indigenous art and objects for sale at prices from the low hundreds to over £20,000. Dealers from the UK, Europe and USA will take part, with specialists in many areas including African masks, Indian textiles, Oceanic cultures, Polynesian art, objects of adornment, costume and jewellery, and American Indian works. New this year: tours will be available of the Fair given by well-known expert Ronnie Archer Morgan, satellite events are being planned, and an important project to develop a grant to promote and support traditional textile makers across the African continent, supporting the next generation of textile designers and bringing the history, exemplary craftmanship and creativity of these textiles to an international audience. The project is a collaboration between TAL and Eva Sonaike, Creative Director of Eva Sonaike, a London-based interiors company specialising in luxury textiles and designs with a vibrant, elegant West African aesthetic. |
