B2B Events announce closure of Edinburgh Antiques Fair

Antiques News & Fairs - B2B Events announce closure of Edinburgh Antiques Fair

CLOSURE OF EDINBURGH ANTIQUES FAIR

It is with great sadness that B2B Events announce the closure of the Edinburgh Antiques, Vintage & Collectors Fair

The fair, which took place at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston, was started 12 years ago in 2010, but unfortunately due to an increase in costs across the boards, is no longer a financially viable option for the organisers.

Helen Yourston, Director of B2B Events explains: “Having spent ten of the last 12 years building up the fair, to a popular, successful event pre covid, it is extremely upsetting not to be able to continue.

“Despite expecting, and factoring in anticipated price rises, the figures still didn’t add up”, continued Helen. “Even if we were to sell every double stand in the hall we still wouldn’t have broken even. We therefore had no option but to make the incredibly difficult decision to close the fair down.”

B2B Events spent time ringing around all those exhibitors who were booked in for the May fair to personally let them know the situation, prior to publicly announcing the closure.

“If we have missed anyone please accept our apologies”, said Helen. “We wish to thank all exhibitors and visitors, past and present for their support. We will be looking at alternative venues moving forward, but this won’t be a quick process. We will keep everyone informed via our website, email and social media platforms.”
