ABOUT THIS FAIR: |
The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair holds it Spring edition from 4-8 May 2022 in Battersea Park, London close to Sloane Square and the Kings Road. Expect to see a stunning variety of one-off antiques and period design, and works of art from all periods to the contemporary. A favoured haunt of the interior design crowd and in-the-know style lovers, the Spring fair always has a garden focus, with dealers bringing a varied range of quality and decorative seating, statuary and planters, even antique garden gates and rustic wooden pieces. Eagle eyed decorators and home makers looking for a beautifully-aged garden bench or weathered statue complete with mossy lichen, a superb Coade urn, or fine Italian marble figure, are liking to find just the thing at the Decorative Fair Battersea. Visitors will also find dealers in collectable jewellery and vintage watches, colourful glass, lustrous silverware, pretty and luxurious textiles to display as art as well as for decorating with, country house antiques, collectable folk art, the Gustavian look, and traditional, lovingly crafted English and Continental classics. The talented exhibitors at this elegant gathering bring all one could need to bring a storied look of individuality to a home. Lovers of a sleek twentieth century look will discover directional pieces by well-known designers, architects and makers, both British and European, and will be inspired by the appealing array of modern and contemporary art, ceramics and sculpture on display. Mix it up to the max is the mantra of the Fair where you will see a creative cross-section of eras and styles together to inspire and excite. Dealers love showing at the Fair as much as visitors enjoy shopping: Matthew Hall of art dealers Panter & Hall Decorative says this is “absolutely my favourite fair of all time, it is one of the most varied and interesting fairs in the world”. He goes on to describe “dealers competing to catch the eye of some of the world’s most celebrated interior designers and decorators”. |
