ABOUT THIS FAIR: |
After more than 30 successful years at The Pavilion, Bath Decorative Antiques Fair celebrates a return to its traditional Spring season in 2022 to celebrate antiques and C20st Design for the home and garden. Garden antiques will be a focus when exhibitors converge on the Georgian City to deck their stands with expertly curated displays of decorative and country house antiques and garden ornament for both inside and outside the home. Around 50 exhibitors will reveal stock saved for this important fixture in the fairs calendar. Expect to see English, French and Nordic antiques and design – large painted cabinets, exquisite model chateaux, chateau furniture, imposing cast iron urns and benches for the garden and conservatory, huge farmhouse tables, rustic oak furniture, refined cosmopolitan furniture for the City dweller, library furniture for the essential home office, architectural elements, lighting, luxurious antique textiles and rugs from Asia and the Levant, folk art, mirrors, early glass and English and Continental pottery with a broad range of art from period portraits to Modern & Contemporary by renowned artists. Historically a Spring event, buyers have always looked for antiques for the garden and conservatory and exhibitors will not disappoint with a diverse selection of English, Italian and French antique tables and chairs and decorative embellishment. The event is something of an institution in the antiques and design world with buyers vying to get first place in the queue on the opening day. There is a unique atmosphere, very laid back and with a welcoming feel where a loyal following of exhibitors will join forces with some exciting new exhibitors from across the UK to inspire collectors and homemakers of all generations with new ways to mix antiques and vintage with modern and contemporary art and decoration in a C21st mashup |
