Scarab Antiques - An Art Deco Birchwood veneer tray and 3 boxes made during the Art Deco period probably in France priced at £595.

ABOUT THIS FAIR:

Galloway Antique Fairs' new premier event at Marlborough College, Wiltshire, takes place from 18-20 October, 2019 and the event has attracted some high profile dealers from around the UK, many of whom are members of BADA  and LAPADA, including furniture dealers Tim Saltwell, Celia Rose Antiques and Wilson’s Antiques all from West Sussex, local dealer William Cook, Stephen Dymond from Devon, Malcolm Eglin Antiques from Northumberland and J C Antiques from North Yorkshire. Oriental antiques will be offered by Amelie Caswell from Bristol and local dealer Drove House.

Silver is well represented by Stephen Kalms of the London Silver Vaults, Carlyon Silver from Bath and Highland Antiques from Aberdeen. John Briggs, also from Aberdeen will have a colourful selection of oriental rugs and carpets, J. Dickenson of Derbyshire will provide a geographical selection of English antiquarian maps and prints. Bags of Glamour will have a beautiful selection of antique and vintage handbags, compacts and ladies accessories.

A dazzling array of antique and vintage jewellery and watches and Studio Glass will also be available from Scarab Antiques.

Antiques and contemporary paintings and Bronze sculpture will be available from local dealer Stephen Cook Fine Art, Keith Ellis Fine Art and Ruth Hudson Fine Art both from Yorkshire, Aquila Fine Art of Buckinghamshire, and Hazlehurst Antiques from Kent.

Serenata Antiques from Oxfordshire will have a varied selection of decorative items including Doulton Lambeth, Arts and Crafts and porcelain dating from Victorian times through to 1930’s. Solo Antiques of Lancashire has a really beautiful selection of Art Nouveau and Art Deco bronze and sculpture, glass and Arts and Crafts period antiques.

Kalms Antiques - A charming silver crab snuff box with intricate decoration and gilt interior.

The snuff box is of foreign origin but was recorded as being imported into London in 1902. POA

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:

There will be much to tempt collectors and homemakers with more than 40 exhibitors with prices ranging from £25 - £30,000, set in the majestic surroundings of Marlborough College.
