Malcolm Eglin Antiques - A beautiful large Isle of Wight glass vase, one of the early ‘Undercliff’ range, inspired by Elizabeth Harris and blown by her son Timothy, and importantly for the collector, signed Michael Harris her husband, originator of Isle of Wight Glass. Priced at £1660.

ABOUT THIS FAIR:

The Scone Palace Antiques & Fine Art Fair is known to be the number one fixture in Scotland's' antiques fairs calendar, organised by Galloway Antiques Fairs, originally from Galloway, will be returning for the 45th time to the majestic setting of Scone Palace in Perth over the weekend of 8-10 November 2019. The fair is held in the main state rooms of Scone Palace and has many loyal followers including collectors and interior designers, who come to find unique and one of a kind pieces including traditional antique furniture, ceramics, jewellery, silver, paintings, glass, bronze sculpture, oriental antiques, clocks and watches, antiquarian maps & prints and many decorative items. The fair has a very accessible feel and friendly atmosphere with prices from £25 - £30,000 plus.

Many regular Scottish dealers will be returning including silver dealer Highland Antiques of Aberdeen. Furniture dealers; Cathedral Antiques of Fortrose. Local furniture dealers Carse Antiques and Julia Drinkhall will have a selection of country house antiques and decorative items and John A W Briggs from Stone haven will have a colourful selection of Oriental rugs and carpets.

Mark Buckley Antiques - A fine quality Burr Walnut inlaid Baby Sutherland table cross banded and inlaid with a fine floral border, another regular dealer at Scone Palace, Mark has been exhibiting at this fair for over 20 years.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:
Dealers from further afield are Fu Tsang Lung from Yorkshire with a selection of Oriental Antiques. Furniture dealers Mark Buckley Antiques of Skipton and J C Antiques of West Yorkshire and Melody Antiques from Cheshire.  Fine art dealers Rowles Fine Art from Shropshire, Fettes Fine Art and Lauriston Fine Art both from Edinburgh, Keith Ellis Fine Art and Ruth Hudson Fine Art from Yorkshire. Specialist porcelain dealers will include Bottlebrook Antiques of Derbyshire.

Scone Palace is located just a few miles on the outskirts of Perth on A93. It has ample car parking and a wonderful tearoom offering a wide selection of hot and cold meals. Visitors to the fair are also welcome to walk around the beautiful grounds of the Palace which include The Pinetum, The Murray Star Maze and of course Moot Hill where the Stone of Scone proudly sits, once the crowning place of Scottish Kings including Macbeth, Robert The Bruce and Charles 11. Galloway Antiques Fairs will be raising money for Cancer Research UK.
