ABOUT THIS FAIR:

The Chester Decorative Antiques & Art Fair, 11-13 October 2019, returns under new ownership and with more than fifty dealers over three floors of the County Grandstand building at Chester Racecourse.

New owners Cooper Events have re-branded the former Chester Antiques Fair as The Chester Decorative Antiques & Art Fair and as part of the re-branding have incorporated an Antiques Arcade on the top floor where visitors will find a greater variety of exhibits befitting the new branding.

To celebrate the launch Mark Hill, author and well-known antiques expert from the BBC Antiques Roadshow, will be a VIP guest to greet visitors and introduce them to a whole host of new exhibitors at the fair dealing in both decorative and traditional antiques, Fine Art, Modern & Contemporary Art, Twentieth century design and country house furniture and accessories to inspire for contemporary and traditional homes.

Sue Ede of Cooper Events told ANF: "We have found with our events in Buxton, Harrogate, Bath and the Cotswolds that today’s antiques buyers want a greater variety of objects and especially more decorative pieces. Classic antiques will, of course, still feature, together with traditional silver, ceramics, sculpture and collectors' items, but we will be adding more specialists in classic vintage pieces, Art Deco, Arts & Crafts and Mid-Century Modern for a fresh generation of collectors and home interior stylists."
