studios of Elfriede Balzar KoppThe jug is 33cm tall to the tip of the pewter lid handle and is
inscribed/signed Balzar Kopp to the base . Circa 1970. Priced at £345.00.

 

ABOUT THIS FAIR:

The Annual Buxton Antiques Fair returns to the Octagon at the famous Buxton Pavilion Gardens from 19th – 22nd May 2022. With a strong emphasis on quality, style and superb presentation, the Buxton Fair is a major event in the calendar of the art and antiques market.

Sue Ede, fair organiser, explains: ‘We are looking forward to our annual visit to the popular spa town. We have a fair bursting with a sumptuous selection of the finest pieces available on the art and antiques market today’. More than forty specialist dealers will be exhibiting.

Held in its special setting in the famous spa town in the Peak District, the Buxton Antiques Fair has been a major attraction for collectors across the Midlands and North of England for the past fifty years. Featuring more than forty specialist dealers from across the country, the fair offers a wide range of fine art and antiques from the 16th to 20th century. Prices range from less than £25 for a Victorian silver spoon to more than £10,000 for the finest oil paintings, antique furniture, ceramics, silver,
jewellery paintings and accessories.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:

Among the well-known regular exhibitors will be Mark Buckley Antiques and Brian Ashbee & Wes Wotruba with English furniture
and accessories; fine art specialists Granta Fine Art with 20th century works; Jo Bennett with Northern and contemporary oils and
watercolours; and E-Stacy-Marks, Walker Galleries and Rowles Fine Art from Shrewsbury with fine English and Continental paintings.

A superb range of French and European 19th and 20th century sculpture will feature from Garret & Hurst; rare and vintage watches
will be shown by Timewise while Richard Glass promises 18th and 19th century engravings, early carvings and collector’s pieces.

Others include John Newton Antiques with fine 19th and 20th century porcelain and studio pottery, Solo Antiques specialising in Art Nouveau glass and bronzes, J. Dickinson Antiquarian Maps & Prints; The Antiques Bazaar specialising in silver; and jewellery specialists Plaza, Shapiro & Co, Billy Rae and Terry Robert.

Widening the appeal and breadth of the fair more than ever will be several new exhibitors. Hispanic Antiques promise a range of historic pieces from Spain’s rich history including ceramics, small furniture and objets d’art; and Julia Dinkhall Antiques & Interiors from Scotland with country house pieces and jewellery. Julian Eade will be showing a wide range of English, European and Oriental ceramics.
