July 2024: ANTIQUES NEWS & FAIRS is moving to a new home at The House Directory - where antiques meet interior design! A new and exciting collaboration aligning our 2 brands for a wider reach. Stay tuned for more news!
The Antiques Dealers Fair Limited was set up in 2003 by Ingrid Nilson, a dealer in decorative antique prints and former Director of LAPADA The Association of Art & Antiques Dealers. The purpose was to launch The LAPADA Autumn Antiques & Fine Art Fair at Cheltenham Racecourse which was staged annually between 2004 and 2008. Since then other fairs have been launched at prestigious venues around the country making The Antiques Dealers Fair Limited a leading UK organiser in boutique-sized quality fairs.
These have now crystallised into five exclusive events, The Mayfair Antiques & Fine Art Fair at The London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, The Petworth Park Antiques & Fine Art Fair in a marquee in the grounds of Petworth House, West Sussex; The Antiques & Fine Art Fair at Harewood in a marquee in the grounds of Harewood House, West Yorkshire; The Antiques & Fine Art Fair at The Mere in Cheshire and The Esher Hall Antiques & Fine Art Fair at Sandown Park Racecourse in Surrey.
The fairs have all earned themselves a reputation for commitment to the highest standards; beautifully appointed roomsets sit alongside stands of glittering jewellery and walls hung with antique and contemporary paintings. The majority of the exhibitors return to the fairs year after year having forged lasting relationships with new clients who eagerly come back to see the latest treasures on offer.
The fairs offer a vast range of fine antiques and works of art with specialist dealers selling unique items dating from the ancient to the contemporary. The majority of the participating dealers are members of the BADA or LAPADA, the UK's leading dealer associations.
What people say about The Antiques Dealers Fairs Limited's Fairs:
THE PETWORTH PARK ANTIQUES & FINE ART FAIR
The quality, standard and attendance at the fair was beyond anyone's expectations. Jackie Tudor, former chair of the Petworth Business Association.
One of the best fairs we have done for a long time - very, very good. Thomas Lighton, Merville Galleries
Great fair, great appearance. We'll be back. Everything we sold was brown. For us brown is the new gold! Mike Melody, Melody Antiques.
THE ANTIQUES & FINE ART FAIR AT THE MERE
This fair has been even more successful . Once again we have met and sold to at least 3 new people, who would seem to be interested in buying more in the future. We have heard wonderful comments on the quality of the fair and how enjoyable it has been and that they feel they can rely on every dealer exhibiting here. This has to be one of the most successful high quality fairs in the north, reaching far beyond expectations of regional or provincial fairs. We sold 3 large 19th century bronzes, all of which we were showing for the first time for a five figure sum. Garret & Hurst Sculpture.
THE ESHER HALL ANTIQUES & FINE ART FAIR
This is a great show, the variety was fabulous, it’s very well laid out and the accessibility was excellent. A delighted visitor
My best fair ever. Richard Price.
THE MAYFAIR ANTIQUES & FINE ART FAIR
There have been good quality people here the whole time, a great way to start the New Year. David Harvey, W R Harvey & Co (Antiques) Ltd.
