ABOUT THIS FAIR:

The Winter Art & Antiques Fair Olympia is returning for its 27th year as one of London's flagship art and antiques event of the Winter season. 

Around 100 renowned dealers will be offering over 30,000 one-off, strictly vetted items for sale, in the genres of jewellery, artwork, furniture, ceramics, glassware, clocks, fossils, textiles, mirrors, silver and sculpture, with pieces priced from £100 up to hundreds and thousands of pounds.

The event is expected to attract over 20,000 visitors from the UK and around the world, including discerning shoppers, collectors and interior designers.

Haynes Fine Art - 'The Scales' by Sir William Russell Flint PRWS RA (British 1890 – 1969), signed oil on canvas. Prolific in watercolour, oils by Flint are relatively rare and the subject is unusual. 22 1⁄4 x 27 1⁄2 inches.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:

New exhibitors for 2017 include The Old Corkscrew from South Africa, jewellers Timewise and Precious Flora, Honorable Silver Objects (Belgium), Tom Rooth, Manning Fine Art and Burlington

Regular exhibitors returning include Laura Bordignon, Patrick Sandberg Antiques, Howard Walwyn Ltd (Fine Antique Clocks), The Parker Gallery, Babbington Fine Art, Anthea AG Antiques and Morgan Strickland Decorative Arts Ltd.

New talks at the event range from the V&A discussing Travel in Style, through to the Royal Naval College of Greenwich talking about their painted hall - one of the greatest Baroque interiors in Europe. The fair is run alongside Asian Art in London, and therefore visitors will also enjoy a talk from the Museum of East Asian Art, on the subject of collecting the un-collectables.

Other talks will cover topics such as commissioning art, and Independent Art Advisor, Vanessa Curry and her team will give daily highlights tours.
