Mark Buckley Antiques - An Edwardian quality, late Victorian Rosewood inlaid table by Collinson & Lock priced at £2295.

ABOUT THIS FAIR:

A 24 year tenure is testament to the success of the twice a year Scone Palace Antiques & Fine Art FaIR organised by Galloway Antiques Fairs, will be returning for the 44th time to the majestic setting of Scone Palace in Perth over the weekend of 1 – 3 March 2019. The Fair has a relaxed and busy atmosphere attracting visitors from all over Scotland and England. The fair is held in the main state rooms of Scone Palace and the audience is a mixture of Scottish trade, interior designers and the public who enjoy the experience of the friendly reception from talented and experienced exhibitors under the roof of one of Soctland's must see buildings.

Scottish dealers will include silver dealer Highland Antiques of Aberdeen. Furniture dealers; Cathedral Antiques of Fortrose. Local furniture dealer Carse Antiques, antiquarian book dealer Hilary Farquharson of Angus, Julia Drinkhall will have a selection of country house antiques and decorative items and John A W Briggs from Stonehaven will have a colourful selection of Oriental rugs and carpets.

Carse Antiques  - A fine & rare early Scottish Wemyss Ware medium sized basket with the rarer Daffodils decoration to both sides priced at £850.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:
Dealers from further afield are Fu Tsang Lung from Yorkshire with a selection of Oriental Antiques. Furniture dealers Mark Buckley Antiques of Skipton and J C Antiques of West Yorkshire, Lancaster House from Lancashire and King George Antiques from Essex. Jewellery dealers include S & A Thompson from Nottinghamshire and Scarab from Kent.  Fine art dealers Rowles Fine Art from Shropshire, Fettes Fine Art from Edinburgh, Keith Ellis Fine Art from Yorkshire and Ruth Hudson Fine Art also from Yorkshire. Specialist porcelain dealers will include Bottlebrook Antiques of Derbyshire.

Scone Palace is located just a few miles on the outskirts of Perth on A93. It has ample car parking and a wonderful tearoom offering a wide selection of hot and cold meals. Admission to the fair will be £6.00 and will be open from 10.30am – 5.00pm daily (4.30pm finish Sunday only).  Visitors to the fair are also welcome to walk around the beautiful grounds of the Palace which include The Pinetum, The Murray Star Maze and Moot Hill where the Stone of Scone proudly sits, once the crowning place of Scottish Kings including Macbeth, Robert The Bruce and Charles 11. Galloway Antiques Fairs will be raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Lancaster House Antiques - A Barker of Wigan long case clock, circa 1750, complete with an eight-day arched brass dial rolling moon, encases in a walnut cross banded oak case priced at £3350.
