ABOUT THIS FAIR:

The London Antique Rug & Textile Art Fair (LARTA), the UK’s leading fair for woven art, will be returning to its recent new home of the Mezzanine of The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair in early 2018.

Established in 2011, the Fair is a focal point for decorators, collectors and international buyers. Traditional rugs for sale originate from Persia, India, China, Central Asia, Anatolia and the Caucasus, and period works date to the early C20th, ranging from around £500 to over £25,000.

Sixteen leading specialist dealers will be attending the event which celebrates colour and design in antique rug and textile art, offering a varied selection that cannot be found anywhere else.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:

LARTA offers an exotic cornucopia of the finest oriental rugs and tribal textiles such as suzanis and ikats, luxurious monotone berbers and colourful flatweave dhurries, European carpets from French Aubusson to Swedish rya, fabulous Brussels tapestries, fibre art and weavings from around the world including Asia, Africa and the Americas, and associated collectable and decorative items.

An exclusive selection of contemporary hand-made art rugs will also be available from exhibitors such as designer Gideon Hatch and the world-famous Liberty Oriental Rugs, who launched a stunning range of floral silk rugs at last year's LARTA, to great acclaim in the design world.

Collectors travel from as far afield as America and Switzerland for LARTA, with designers such as Rose Uniacke, Nina Campbell and Chelsea Textiles regarding the event as an invaluable buying resource for their client projects and archive research.
