ABOUT THIS FAIR:

Following a successful launch in 2016, Firle Place will host the second annual Firle Place Antiques Fair in June.

Organiser, Caroline Penman (Penman Fairs) who also organises other antiques fairs around the UK, is full of anticipation for the event's return: "We’ve come forward in the calendar to early June... to slot comfortably beween the Garden Fair and the Vintage Fairs in Firle Park, and once again our specialist dealers will be presenting a superb display of art, antiques and collectors’ pieces with prices to suit every pocket."

Exhibitors taking part include Mark Stacey from Santiago Ventura Real (small furniture, ceramics, glass and collectables); Henry Nicholls Antiques (silver); Newman Fine Art (fine English watercolours); Malcolm Bowdery (English period furniture); Art of the Imagination (contemporary illustrative paintings and sculpture); S. & J. Ceramics (fine porcelain); Ben Cooper Oriental Ceramics (Asian art and artifacts) and Terry Robert (fine jewellery).

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:

Set in a C18th Riding School in a beautiful country estate in the South Downs, with room-style settings for all exhibitors, and works fully vetted for quality, originality and authenticity.

"This is what distinguishes our events from others," comments Caroline; "buyers can make their purchases confident in the knowledge that exhibits are checked for authenticity by a panel of experts prior to going on sale."

Visitors can also take advantage of an appraisal service by experts well-known for their TV appearances: Mark Stacey, Henry Nicholls and Ben Cooper. The fee of £3.00 will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
