ABOUT THIS FAIR:

After 30 successful years at Pavilion, the Bath Decorative Antiques Fair still occupies its own rarified position in the decorative antiques trade – a regional event which enjoys an international audience, and a unique atmosphere, almost clublike, amongst its many loyal exhibitors and clients.

The fair was founded in 1989 by local dealer Robin Coleman, as part of the original Bath & Bradford on Avon Antique Dealers’ Association.  The event was eventually acquired in 2013 by Sue & Peter Ede of Cooper Events.  Sue and Peter recognised that the fair had an important legacy in the trade and it has continued to thrive during their 6 years of stewardship.

Sue Ede: “We are honoured to own this important event which is so cherished by all who sail in her!  We are very much looking forward to celebrating the 30th edition with exhibitors from 1989 to the present day.”

There will be an emphasis on style diversity for the 30th edition, with an exciting mix of a few dealers who were there at the very first event –Cherrie & Michael Todd, Devon, samplers, Folk Art, painted furniture, and Terry & Marie Kelly, Somerset, early pottery and glass, small country furniture who will join a dazzling group of young dealers on a fast track up the ladder to high visibility in the trade and who were still at school or not even born back in 1989!  Tallboy Interiors, Continental decorative furniture and accessories with an industrial flair, Bombe Interiors, French and Italian painted furniture and mirrors, Cunningham & White’s, country furniture, especially from the West of England, advertising signs, garden and industrial pieces, Matthew’s Room Devon, with a decorative but pared down and gritty style and Home Bothy from Brighton with a focus on Folk Art, decorative antiques and chic large scale industrial counters.
